Have you been on the run from the law before? If so, then you have probably gotten some experience with the uncertainty of not knowing if you have an arrest warrant out for you. There comes a tremendous fear with every passing police car, a terror of going even a mile over the speed limit, and even being scared to look out the window for fear you will see the law staring right back at you.
Unfortunately, the only way to resolve this conflict is to contact the authorities directly. For Castro County, this means if you want to inquire about arrest warrants, you will have to call the Castro County Sheriff’s Office. You can view all of their contact information, as well as a few details about the sheriff themself, at http://www.co.castro.tx.us/default.aspx?Castro_County/Sheriff.
You can visit the sheriff at 100 East Bedford, Room 113, in Dimmitt, Texas, to inquire about warrant status.
Alternatively, maybe you are just trying to find out if a friend, a family member, or someone else you know has recently landed in prison. The best way to find out this information is to consult the statewide offender database, which details all of Texas prisons’ current inmates. You can access this information at https://offender.tdcj.texas.gov/OffenderSearch/index.jsp. Please be aware that this information deals only with people in jail right now and does not provide details for persons that have been released from custody.
